Classy old Hide and Seek

Classy old Hide and Seek

We all have played Hide and seek when we were young. Nowadays kids are getting interested in playing more of indoor games and video games. It is very important to stimulate them towards outdoor games as it not only stimulates minds but also are physically invigorating.

In Hide and Seek, you need to choose the “it” who has to close eyes and count till say 50 while the others go and hide. After counting is over “it” seeks the hidden children, the first one to get caught becomes the next “it”. To bring in some variation in the game, it can be played in the evening with a flashlight. When the flashlight falls on the hidden child he becomes the “it” and goes seeking other children with the flashlight. Another variation can be made if the person found out by “it” also joins hands and they seek out to find others.

This game gives the children the opportunity to explore their surroundings and run around, which is good and necessary for staying healthy. Since it can be played by children of age group belonging to 3 to 13, it should be encouraged to be played in schools too, during the recess. Physical activities are as important for children as are mental games since more and more physical activities keep all diseases at bay.
