Doing this will help your dog get used to baby sounds and smells. So, when you bring the baby home, he will be familiar with the new rules and changes.
House pets are bound to daily routines. They don’t like change. Bringing baby home means that all of those routines will be changed. Dogs will be stressed and unhappy. Because of this, it is crucial to prepare your dog for the baby arrives. The preparation should start 7 months before the baby comes home.
One of the tricks you can use is to give treats to your dog every time when he is in the same room with your baby. This will make the atmosphere much relax and your dog will like spending time in the same room as your baby. In this case, you must pay a lot of attention to the treats you are giving to the dog. They cannot contain a lot of fat.
