Don't Let Your Children Smoke

Smoking is one of the worst things your child can do to his body! Beside every person knows that cigarettes are dangerous, 3.900 kids, ages 12-17, start smoking every day! This is a serious problem for all parents. Kids usually start smoking because they are curious, and want to try a new stuff! Boys also start smoking because they want to look more ‘’tougher’’. And girls want to look like ladies.

Because cigarettes have awful taste and smell at the beginning, kids believe they can stop smoking anytime they want. Sadly, when they want to stop, they are already addicted to them, so stop smoking is extremely hard!

Children should know how bad smoking is for their body. Bad breath, smelly clothes, yellow teeth are the less worrying problems. Severe are: more colds and coughs, difficulty playing sports, higher risk of diabetes, heart disease, cancer and many more! The additional problem is an empty wallet. One pack of cigarettes costs about $6. If you buy just one pack every week, you will spend $312 per years! In many cases average smoker needs one pack of cigarettes every day. You can calculate how much money he spends on this poison!

Kids usually have excuses like ‘’my friend is a smoker’’, and ‘’I just wanted to try it’’. There is not one reason for smoking, and there are many for being non-smoker! The soon your child realize this, he/she will be safer. The best thing you can do to protect him from cigarettes is showing him facts about smoking, and making him do sports. Children who do sports, doesn’t have desire for starting smoking, because they know how cigarettes affect on their training!
