How to protect your child from catching the flu

How to protect your child from catching the flu

As the weather changes, most people suffer from a bout of flu. While adults have a well developed immune system, children are still developing theirs’. They are more vulnerable to infectious diseases and flu. So, if children can’t take care of themselves, how can you take care of them?

By making a few rules:-

1) Hygiene

You instill good habits in kids by telling them how important it is to wash their hands before eating food or whenever they come home after playing outdoors. You should tell them that a lot of germs can spread when they don’t wash their hands regularly because everything they hold or touch has germs on it.

2) Public Transport

If your kid is very small, you should take care that they don’t put their mouth on the railings of public transport and they shouldn’t pick up anything lying on the floor.

3) House Cleanliness

Make sure you keep their toys clean and sanitized. Also, make sure that your home is neat and tidy so that germs don’t travel from one object to another in your house.

4) Drinking Water

You should always carry a bottle of drinking water as you can never be sure that the water that you find outdoors is purified or not. A lot of diseases are spread through water and sometimes, severe cases of jaundice also occur when proper drinking water isn’t available.

5) Food

The food that your kids eat should be abundant in nutrition to help them grow well and it should also be well balanced so that the immune system of your child develops well.
