About Me
In 2011 I became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I offer LGBTQ-inclusive postpartum doula services, prenatal education, in one on one, or group settings, as well as private lactation consultations in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the surrounding areas.
I began doula services in 2012, and it has been a great honor working with many wonderful families. I believe in using evidenced based care to support clients in all their parenting goals, tailored to the needs of each family.
In 2008 I was accredited by La Leche League International as a Volunteer Group Leader and Counselor. I served 2 years on LLL of Texas Area Council as Area Coordinator of Events. From 2014 to 2017 I was the New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force Conference Manager, and served a year as the Co-chair of the New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force Albuquerque Chapter.
My spouse Robert and I have 9 children, 4 boys and 5 girls, including a set of twins. My birthing and breastfeeding experiences led me on a path towards helping new families establish positive parenting experiences. I spend my free time reading, hiking, playing board games, and swimming. Inspired through my work with families, I look forward to serving in my community for many years to come.
